This Hubble image shows a cosmic pillar of dust, two light-years long, within the Carina Nebula. Inside the pillar is Herbig-Haro 666, a young star emitting powerful jets. The pillar's layered outline is shaped by the winds and radiation of Carina's hot, massive stars.
