NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Stickney Crater, the largest crater on Phobos, is named for Chloe Angeline Stickney Hall, wife of astronomer Asaph Hall. Asaph Hall discovered both of Mars's moons in 1877. This crater is over 9 kilometers across, almost half the diameter of Phobos itself. The HiRISE camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured this enhanced-color image.
