Swirls and Colors on Jupiter from Juno

Jupiter's thick atmosphere is mostly hydrogen and helium, which are colorless. The colors in its clouds are a mystery, though ammonium hydrosulfide is a leading candidate for some hues. This color-enhanced image from the Juno spacecraft shows that lighter clouds are generally higher than darker ones. The swirls and colors are a subject of ongoing research.
