Venus and Jupiter on the Horizon

NASA APOD · Juan Carlos Casado (TWAN)
COSMIC MESSAGE

Venus and Jupiter, the two brightest planets in the night sky, recently passed close together from our perspective. This image, taken from Spain, captures them at sunset. Jupiter orbits the Sun seven times farther out than Venus, so their close appearance is just a line of sight effect.
