COSMIC MESSAGE

The Cassini spacecraft launched in 1997 and arrived at Saturn in 2004. This image shows what it saw as it approached the ringed planet. Cassini spent 13 years orbiting Saturn, its rings, and moons, sending back thousands of images and scientific data. The mission ended in 2017 when the probe was deliberately plunged into Saturn's atmosphere.
