This image compiles 29 years of observations of Saturn, from 1993 to 2022. It follows the ringed gas giant as it completes a single orbit around the Sun. Saturn is the most distant planet visible to the unaided eye. The panorama is centered along the ecliptic, the plane of Earth's orbit, and shows the plane of our Milky Way galaxy.
