The star PDS 70 hosts a large planet-forming disk, but the real excitement is around one of its planets, PDS 70c. This planet, similar in size to Jupiter, is surrounded by its own fuzzy disk. Astronomers believe this fuzzy patch is a circumplanetary disk, where moons might be forming around the young planet. The system is a unique laboratory for observing planet and moon formation.
