Daytime Moon Meets Morning Star
NASA APOD · Katarzyna Kaczmarczyk
COSMIC MESSAGE
Venus, our brilliant morning star, shines above the southeastern horizon before dawn. On November 9, it appeared in a close pairing with a waning crescent Moon. From some northern locations, the Moon occulted Venus, passing in front of it. This time series shows the daytime approach of the Moon and morning star.
