The Tadpole Galaxy from Hubble
The Tadpole Galaxy, Arp 188, sits 420 million light-years away in the constellation Draco. Its long tail, 280,000 light-years long, is filled with bright blue star clusters. Astronomers think a smaller galaxy passed through Arp 188, pulling out its stars and dust. This image from the Hubble Legacy Archive captures the event.
