Stardust in the Perseus Molecular Cloud

NASA APOD · Jeff Schilling
COSMIC MESSAGE

Clouds of stardust drift through the Perseus molecular cloud, about 850 light-years away. Dusty nebulae reflect light from young stars embedded within them, creating a bluish color, as seen in NGC 1333. Hints of red emission from Herbig-Haro objects, jets of gas from newly formed stars, are scattered across this expanse.
