COSMIC MESSAGE
The Sun is a bubbling ball of extremely hot gas. In this false-color image, light blue regions are over one million degrees, while dark blue regions are slightly cooler. The camera filter was sensitive to highly charged iron ions, which trace the Sun's magnetic field. This picture shows the great complexity of the Sun's inner corona.
