COSMIC MESSAGE

The Trifid Nebula, M20, is a cloud of gas and dust in Sagittarius. This image shows the glowing hydrogen gas, energized by young stars, and the dark lanes of dust that weave through it. The nebula is a star-forming region, about 5,200 light-years away.
