Venus' Once Molten Surface

COSMIC MESSAGE
If you could see Venus with radar eyes, this is what you might see. This computer reconstruction of Venus' surface was created from data from the Magellan spacecraft. Magellan orbited Venus from 1990 to 1994, using radar to map its surface. It found many interesting features, including large circular domes, typically 25 kilometers across, thought to be created by volcanism.
