This Q-shaped cloud in the Small Magellanic Cloud is a supernova remnant, about 40 light-years across. Its X-ray glow, captured by the Chandra Observatory, comes from multi-million degree gas. This several-thousand-year-old remnant is the result of a massive star's death explosion.
