COSMIC MESSAGE
The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters, is one of the closest open star clusters to Earth, about 444 light-years away. This long-exposure image reveals the faint blue reflection nebulae, clouds of interstellar dust that scatter the light of the hot, young stars within the cluster. The Pleiades are located in the constellation Taurus and are easily visible to the unaided eye.
