This Hubble Space Telescope image reveals a dense field of over 10,000 stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. Many of the brightest stars are giants, dwarfing our own Sun. The LMC is about 170,000 light-years away. This concentration of stars highlights the diversity of stellar types and colors found within a galaxy.
