COSMIC MESSAGE

This stereo image of Saturn was created from two photos taken weeks apart by the Voyager 2 spacecraft in August 1981. The spacecraft's changing viewpoint as it traveled at 35,000 miles per hour produced this exaggerated stereo effect. Saturn is the second-largest planet in our Solar System, known for its spectacular ring system.
