M63, also known as the Sunflower Galaxy, is a bright spiral galaxy in Canes Venaciti. This image shows its long winding spiral arms, glowing blue from young stars and red from hot ionized hydrogen gas. Dark dust filaments are also visible. M63 interacts gravitationally with M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy.
