COSMIC MESSAGE
Skylab, an orbiting laboratory, was launched in May 1973 by a Saturn V rocket. Astronauts visited it three times, conducting scientific tests and astronomical observations. These included studies of Comet Kohoutek, our Sun, and the mysterious X-ray background radiation. Skylab provided valuable data before its eventual reentry into Earth's atmosphere.
