One Hundred-Kilometer Terrain on Venus

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Even the hot, cracked surface of Venus has rolling hills. This 100-kilometer swath inside the volcanic Yavine Corona shows numerous surface fractures. The image was constructed by digitally merging distant photographs from height-sensitive radar, since no close-up photos of the Venusian surface exist.
