COSMIC MESSAGE
Millions of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere create this solar halo. These small, flat, six-sided crystals flutter, often with their faces parallel to the ground. When an observer aligns with many falling crystals near sunrise or sunset, each crystal acts like a tiny lens, creating the halo.
