COSMIC MESSAGE
On February 20th, a first-quarter Moon appeared to pass in front of Saturn, as seen from parts of North America. This sequence of telescopic images from Powell Observatory shows Saturn reappearing from behind the Moon's bright limb over about two minutes. The ringed planet emerged above the dark, smooth Mare Crisium, also known as the Sea of Crises.
