The Chandra Observatory captured this detailed X-ray image of Cygnus A. It is one of the brightest celestial radio sources, about 700 million light-years away. The X-ray emission shows the powerful jets and lobes generated by the supermassive black hole at the galaxy's center. The inset radio image shows similar structures, revealing the extreme energies at play.
