COSMIC MESSAGE
Orion, the Hunter, is one of the most recognizable constellations. This photograph, taken last month from Vekol Ranch, Arizona, shows Orion's stars and nebulae in colors. The cool red giant Betelgeuse appears with a yellowish tint, while the bright blue star Rigel is also visible. The image was a five-minute exposure on high-speed color film.
