Copper Moon, Golden Gate

COSMIC MESSAGE
When the Moon rose over San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, both were in Earth's shadow. The bridge is in shadow nightly, but the Moon only gets that opportunity about twice a year during a lunar eclipse. Many in areas with clear skies came out to enjoy the spectacle. Skygazers reported a darker than normal, copper-colored moon.
