Our home galaxy, the Milky Way, is devouring its closest neighbor, the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy. This artist's depiction shows the Sagittarius Tidal Stream, a filament of stars, gas, and possibly dark matter that entangles the Milky Way. This process is still ongoing.
