COSMIC MESSAGE
On August 29th, Mars was at its closest approach to Earth in nearly 60,000 years, shining brightly in Aquarius. In this photo, foreground thunderclouds are lit by lightning, creating a dramatic contrast. Mars, of course, has no connection to Earth's weather.
