NGC 2392 Nebula from Hubble

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 2392, discovered by William Herschel in 1787, is a planetary nebula, the remnant of a Sun-like star. The Hubble Space Telescope reveals complex gas clouds, not fully understood, that were the star's outer layers just 10,000 years ago. Strong winds from the central star are still ejecting the inner filaments.
