An Antarctic Total Solar Eclipse

NASA APOD · Fred Bruenjes (moonglow.net)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Sun, the Moon, and two photographers aligned last month in Antarctica for a total solar eclipse. Despite the extreme location, eclipse chasers ventured to the bottom of the world to witness the Sun's temporary disappearance. The image is a composite of four pictures, digitally combined to simulate how the human eye perceived the event.
