Saturn: Lord of the Rings

COSMIC MESSAGE

Galileo first observed Saturn's rings in 1610, amazed by their unique appearance. Nearly 400 years later, these rings remain one of the most stunning sights in our solar system. Saturn's ring system is about 250,000 kilometers wide but only tens of meters thick in places. Modern astronomers estimate the rings are relatively young, perhaps only a hundred million years old.
