COSMIC MESSAGE

This double-exposure image shows the Milky Way fading as the Sun rises over the Kofa Mountains. As the Earth rotates, the scattered sunlight in our atmosphere outshines the distant stars of our galaxy. The wonders of the night sky become less bright than our own planet's glow. They will only reappear as the Earth turns away from the Sun again at dusk.
