This image, captured from Mt. Jelm, home of the Wyoming Infrared Observatory, shows a nearly full Moon and Earth's shadow setting together. The Earth's shadow appears as a dark blue band along the distant western horizon. This daily apparition, seen by early morning risers, is bounded above by a pinkish band, a subtle beauty often overshadowed by the eastern sunrise.
