The Milky Way in Stars and Dust
NASA APOD · Serge Brunier
COSMIC MESSAGE
Our Milky Way Galaxy appears as a band of light across the night sky, visible here from Chile. This image captures hot nebulae, cold dust, and billions of stars within the galactic disk. Vast networks of dust filaments are also visible, so plentiful that they obscure our Galaxy's center in visible light.
