COSMIC MESSAGE

Spiral galaxy NGC 7331, about 50 million light-years away in Pegasus, is often compared to our own Milky Way. It was an early recognized spiral nebula, one of the brighter galaxies not in Messier's catalog. Its inclined disk creates a strong sense of depth in long telescopic exposures.
