COSMIC MESSAGE

This is not the famous Horsehead Nebula, but another reflection nebula, IC 4592, that takes on a similar form. Reflection nebulae are made of fine dust that appears blue when reflecting light from nearby energetic stars. In this case, the star is Nu Scorpii, illuminating the molecular cloud complex.
