COSMIC MESSAGE
Star trails are a direct result of Earth's rotation on its axis. This image shows the apparent paths of stars as our planet spins. If you were on a merry-go-round, the leaves on a nearby tree would make similar trails against the sky as you rotated. It's a simple, elegant demonstration of our planet's constant motion.
