COSMIC MESSAGE
The dust in the center of NGC 1333 is so thick it obscures the forming stars. However, these same dust clouds reflect the optical light from the stars, giving NGC 1333 its characteristic blue glow as a reflection nebula. This detailed image was taken by the Mayall 4-meter telescope on Kitt Peak.
