COSMIC MESSAGE
Centaurus A is a peculiar elliptical galaxy, a jumble of old yellow stars, young blue clusters, and dark dust lanes. This structure is the result of a collision between two normal galaxies. Spanning 60,000 light-years, the cosmic debris is being consumed by a supermassive black hole at its center, a billion times the mass of the Sun.
