COSMIC MESSAGE
Mammatus clouds, named for their pouch-like shapes, hang over Mexico. Unlike typical clouds with flat bottoms, these form when pockets of cold, moisture-laden air sink into drier air, evaporating as they fall. They often appear in turbulent air near severe thunderstorms.
