COSMIC MESSAGE

Dark skies are best for viewing meteor showers, and the Perseids were set to peak in the early morning. While a gibbous Moon would mask fainter meteors in the early evening, observing after the Moon set, around 2 AM local time, offered a better chance to see them. Persistent skygazing could reveal many meteors.
