COSMIC MESSAGE
Mirach's Ghost is a faint galaxy that appears in the same line of sight as Mirach, a bright red giant star in Andromeda. Mirach, also known as Beta Andromedae, is about 200 light-years distant. The galaxy, though much farther away, appears as a fuzzy smudge next to the much brighter star.
