Orcus, designated 90482 Orcus, is a newly discovered object in the outer Solar System. It is slightly smaller than Pluto but one of the largest Kuiper belt objects known. Orcus and Pluto have similar orbits, with comparable maximum and minimum distances from the Sun. Its orbit is also tilted similarly to Pluto's.
