COSMIC MESSAGE
The Moon and Venus, caught together in the predawn sky over North Carolina. Both show a thin crescent, even through the clouds, as Venus passes behind the Moon. This happens when Venus is at its closest to Earth, but also mostly backlit by the Sun.
