Stars and Dust Across Corona Australis

NASA APOD · Andrey Oreshko
COSMIC MESSAGE

Cosmic dust clouds sprawl across a rich field of stars in Corona Australis, the Southern Crown. Less than 500 light-years away, this dust blocks light from more distant stars. The densest part of the cloud is about eight light-years long, with reflection nebulae like NGC 6726 at its tip.
