NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
This enormous cloud of hydrogen gas, a Lyman-alpha blob, spans several hundred thousand light-years. It is a composite of X-ray, optical, and infrared data. We see it as it was when the universe was only two billion years old. The blob strongly emits radiation from the Lyman-alpha emission line of hydrogen.
