On July 22, 2009, a total solar eclipse passed over parts of Asia. Hong Kong was south of the path of totality, so residents saw a partial eclipse. This photo shows the city at 9:40 AM, with many images of the partially eclipsed sun reflected on buildings. It was a unique way to observe the celestial event.
