This Spitzer Space Telescope image shows the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, a star-forming region 400 light-years away in Ophiuchus. Young stars, forming from cold molecular hydrogen gas, heat the surrounding cosmic dust clouds. The false-color infrared view spans about 5 light-years.
