Voyager 2 took this picture of Neptune and its moon Triton in 1989, looking back at them as crescents. The spacecraft had just passed them, so the Sun was behind them from Voyager's point of view. That's why Neptune, usually blue, looks reddish: the sunlight scattered forward to Voyager through the planet's atmosphere.
