COSMIC MESSAGE
The spiral galaxy NGC 1097 is about 45 million light-years away in Fornax. While it has a small companion galaxy, its most peculiar features are faint, mysterious jets. Four such jets are visible in optical images, extending well beyond the galaxy's bright spiral arms.
