COSMIC MESSAGE

The Geminid meteor shower occurs as Earth passes through dusty debris from the extinct comet Phaethon. This annual shower is predicted to peak on December 14th. This image shows a 2007 Geminid meteor streaking over the snow-tinged buttes of Monument Valley, a common sight in wintery landscapes.
